Fast evergreen screen famous for bright red new leaves. Still widely used in Texas despite leaf-spot pressure in wet years.
Landscape use
Tall hedges, screens, large foundations (with good sun).
Care
Full sun and airflow reduce Entomosporium leaf spot. Moderate water. Shear for hedges; avoid constant wet foliage. Replace in chronically wet shade.
