Shade foliage classics in blues, greens, and golds. Best on north and east exposures with mulch and summer water — afternoon Hill Country sun will scorch them.

Shade borders, under oaks (with water), and foundation plantings on cool exposures.
Care
Shade and moist, rich soil. Water in summer drought. Watch for snails/slugs. Cut back after frost; crowns are hardy.
