Oenothera lindheimeri (Gaura lindheimeri)
Airy pink-and-white butterfly blooms dancing on wand stems. Native Texas gaura that thrives in heat and poor soils with very little water.

Prairie borders, cottage gardens, pollinator beds, and mixed perennial plantings.
Care
Full sun and drainage. Low water — overwatering shortens life. Cut back in late winter. Long taproot; plant young and leave it.
