Burgundy foliage and arching purple-pink plumes — the classic Texas annual/tender perennial fountain grass. Dies to the ground in hard freezes; often replanted each spring.

Containers, summer annual beds, mass color, and tropical-feel borders.
Care
Full sun. Moderate water for best color. Treat as annual north of zone 9 or mulch crowns heavily. Sterile cultivar — does not set viable seed.
